Tripp Andrews’ planning expertise was required to prepare the resource consent application for second dwelling on a Residential – Single House zone site located in the Special Character Area Residential Overlay. We collaborated closely with Auckland Council on the technical planning issues and successfully secured agreement on these as part of the pre-application process to de-risk the consent process. We then negotiated the application through the complex heritage and special character issues applying to the site and surrounding environment securing consent on a non-notified basis. Following the resource consent approval and concerns raised by neighbours, we successful obtained a s127 variation with their written approval. Construction is complete and our wonderful clients are now enjoying their beautiful home.
