Our client’s approach us in 2017 as they owned Land in Patumahoe that was zoned Future Urban under the old Franklin District Plan. When Auckland Council introduced the Unitary Plan this particular piece of land was converted back to a rural zoning.

With no productive rural use of this land because it was low lying land that bounded by a primary school, residential properties, the railway line and sport fields, our clients requested us to undertake a private plan change to rezone approximately 22 ha of land to Residential – Single House zone.

Tripp Andrews were involved with designing scheme plans, project management and designing the internal engineering layout. The plan change was granted in May 2022. Several appeals were made on the decision; however, the plan change was granted approval and the land now has a live residential zoning.
